North Bristol NHS Trust and University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust appoint Hospital Managing Directors
Glyn Howells and Professor Stuart Walker appointed to new positions
North Bristol NHS Trust (NBT) and University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW) have today announced the appointment of two Hospital Managing Directors. Glyn Howells and Professor Stuart Walker have been appointed to the new positions and will be responsible for day-to-day leadership and running of the two organisations.
The new Hospital Managing Directors, initially appointed for a 12-month period, will focus on the organisations’ key priority, delivering outstanding care for patients. Both bring significant experience to the roles. Glyn Howells, previously Chief Financial Officer at NBT, will take up the position at NBT. Professor Stuart Walker, who has been acting as interim Chief Executive at UHBW since January 2023, will perform the role at UHBW.
