As we start the new year, North Bristol NHS Trust (NBT) has made some changes to our Trust Board.
This week, our new Chief Operating Officer, Steve Curry, started at the Trust. Steve joins us with extensive managerial and operational experience, from Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, and will be taking over from Jon Scott over the coming weeks. We would like to thank Jon for his work in the interim role over the last few months. Jon will continue to support NBT and BNSSG CCG until the end of March.
Professor Steve Hams has been appointed to the role of Chief Nursing Officer. Steve has been recognised in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours this year with an MBE for services to nursing, as Gloucestershire Hospitals’ chief nurse, who led the vaccine programme in Gloucestershire. Steve will join us in his role at NBT in early Spring.
We also welcome a new Non-Exec Director, Professor Sarah Purdy, who is currently Pro Vice Chancellor for Student Experience at the University of Bristol, and Professor of Primary Care at the University, and an Honorary Consultant in Primary Health Care, NHS England.
And finally, Sandra Harding joins as a new Associate Non-Executive Director, with more than thirty-five years’ experience in the public and private healthcare sectors. She has managed several clinical services, an independent hospital and more recently the national physiotherapy service for BMI Healthcare.
A warm North Bristol NHS Trust welcome to Steve, Steve, Sarah and Sandra.
