You may notice work happening at our Southmead Hospital site as we begin to lay a new electrical cable across the site.
The new electrical cable is vital in future-proofing the Trust for upcoming projects and reducing our carbon footprint, making us less reliant on fossil fuel energy.
The work includes digging up areas of grass next to the pavements or on the site's roads to lay the cable. The work will be completed in stages and is expected to be completed in the Summer. Access to all areas of the hospital will be maintained at all times.
During parts of the work, you may experience more traffic around the site while traffic management systems are in place to allow the work to be completed. All car parks will be open as usual.
Tom Feltham, NBT Estates Project Manager said: While this work may cause some unavoidable disruption, it is essential this improvement takes place to help us future-proof our Southmead estate to meet the needs of our communities and ensure a greener future, helping us reach our 2030 Net Zero goal.
A lot of planning has taken place to keep the disruption to a minimum. Thank you in advance for everyone’s patience.
