On Friday (6 September) we welcomed Chris Skidmore MP and Minister of State for Health and Social Care to Southmead Hospital.
The Kingswood MP had a tour of our emergency department and spoke various members of staff about recruitment and retention.
Chris then visited the trust’s catering department to find out about the service that was highlighted as ‘best practice’ in the Department of Health’s recent NHS food review announcement for using locally-sourced, fresh ingredients in patient’s meals.
