UPDATE: The internal major incident at Southmead Hospital has now been stepped down, and power has been restored in all areas. We'd like to thank you our staff and system partners for their support during this time.

Just after 1700 today we declared an internal major incident following a partial power outage in the Brunel building at Southmead Hospital.
This is affecting three areas of the hospital, including our Emergency Department (ED). A divert is currently in place from our Emergency Department and we are asking the public not to visit our ED until further notice.
We’d like to reassure the public that all patients are safe, and no patients are being moved to alternative services outside of Southmead. We are working hard to resolve this issue and will update further as soon as we can.
