North Bristol NHS Trust has announced 4 new appointments to its Board including for the first time two Associate Non-Executive Directors.
Kelly Macfarlane, Managing Director of Customer Experience at Thames Water, and Richard Gaunt a former partner at the auditors KPMG are both joining as Non-Executive Directors. Richard will also take over as the Chair of both the Audit and Charity Committees from October 1st.
For the first time the Board has 2 Associates who will be non-voting members but who will also have an opportunity to develop their Board experience. Ade Williams, a pharmacist who runs an award-winning local practice joins immediately and LaToyah McAllister-Jones the CEO of St Paul’s Carnival in Bristol will join at the beginning of September. Both Ade and LaToyah bring valuable expertise to the team. Ade has great insight into health services in the community and LaToyah has worked extensively with the vulnerable and homeless through a number of charities.
They join as Rob Mould and Jaki Meekings-Davis step down, Rob after 9 years leading some of the most important Board Committees. Jaki who has been a Board member for 4 years will leave at the end of September, handing over her Audit Chair responsibilities to Richard Gaunt.
NBT Chair, Michele Romaine, said: “Rob and Jaki have made huge contributions to NBT. Their hard work and wisdom has helped to steer the Trust through many important decisions and some very significant improvements. We will be very sad to see them finish their terms of office but we are looking forward to the fresh insights Kelly, Richard, Ade and LaToyah will bring to the Board. We have much to do post Covid-19 and their combined experience will help us continue our work to be at the heart of our communities.”
