Southmead Hospital's Costa Coffee to close for refurbishment

Southmead’s small Costa Coffee outlet will soon close for refurbishment.

The smaller Costa site, opposite the main entrance of the Brunel building, will close on Saturday 4 January 2025. Hoarding will then be installed on Sunday 5 January, ahead of works starting on Monday 6 January.

The Brunel Building’s larger Costa outlet, M&S Food, the League of Friends coffee shop and the Willow Café (outside Maternity services) will remain open throughout the closure period.

The work forms part of a wider project to improve the retail facilities on offer inside the Brunel. The building’s larger Costa Coffee outlet, also on the ground floor, was renovated in September 2024 and the Trust also welcomed a brand-new M&S Food and bakery to Southmead last month.

The new-look Costa Coffee is expected to reopen at the end of January.
