The Clinical Simulation Space is a purpose built simulation facility designed to support high quality and effective simulation based training. It is located on the ground floor of the Learning & Research centre at Southmead Hospital.
The space is designed to ensure that the set-up and delivery of simulated scenarios is as straight forward as possible, with a flexible clinical space that can be used for a wide variety of clinical and surgical scenarios.
And importantly, we’ve carefully designed our viewing and debrief space to create an environment for learners to observe and understand their behaviours, building knowledge and improving their practice.
The centre is well equipped for a variety of scenarios, with modern, full body manikins and anaesthetic and surgical equipment.
A high quality and user friendly video and audio capture system is installed in the centre to support the remote viewing of scenarios.
Our faculty have a breadth of experience hosting and organising local and regional training courses, and can support organisers who wish to host their courses in our facilities. We can support the planning and delivery of courses, including logistical and technical support leading up to and during your course.
