Carers

We know how important carers are and value their input.

Along with University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust, we have signed a charter which promotes a culture that recognises the vital role carers play within our hospitals.

When the person you care for has been admitted we will treat you as an expert partner, ensure you have a voice in hospital, are supported in your role, are provided with appropriate information and are involved in the discharge of the person you care for.

Who is a Carer?

A carer is someone who provides unpaid help and support to another person who could not manage without their help.

Support in Hospital

Carers will have individual circumstances and variable skills that need to be taken account of when planning patient care.

Visiting Times

Visitors are permitted anytime, with a limit of 2 visitors at the bedside at any one time.
