In our most recent CQC inspection, our Trust was rated as “Good”, a major benchmark of high quality and effective services. Crucially, the Trust’s approach to caring for patients was rated Outstanding, as was the way our organisation is led. Of the 37 domains inspected on this occasion, which make up the Trust’s overall rating, 31 were either rated as Good or Outstanding.

×You will be responsible for delivering excellent care to patients throughout the specialty including the G.P. take within normal working hours with a view to supporting the development of an acute G.P accepting area with the admissions unit. The role will require the post holder to support the 32a nursing team with appropriate triage and initial review of G.P admissions, clerking, CGA and post take with a Geriatrician, available from 8am – 8pm. You will be required to liaise with community providers to access alternatives to admission such as frailty@home. Additionally you will be supporting the complex needs of patients in our wards which includes patients who require ongoing support in the community. You will be working as an independent practitioner with the support of an experienced team of consultants.

×As a Category 1 responder, North Bristol NHS Trust must have arrangements in place for preparing for and responding to a wide range of incidents, whilst adhering to its duties under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004.
Reporting to the Trust Accountable Emergency Officer via the deputy chief operating officer, the post holder will lead and manage the Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response function for North Bristol Trust (NBT) and will be the Trust’s single point of contact and expert on all matters relating to Emergency Preparedness.

×The successful candidate will be joining an established team of ANNPs. Our ANNPs are highly valued and essential part of the NICU multidisciplinary team (MDT) at North Bristol NHS Trust. Able to work independently and flexibly, the successful applicant will work alongside doctors and other practitioners on the tier 1 rota.
Southmead NICU is a Level 3 unit providing a centre of excellence for babies requiring medical treatment from 22 weeks gestation.
Our unit has 34 cots, comprising of 8 ITU ,8 HDU and 18 SC, with an additional 8 cots on our Transitional Care Ward.
